Lose Weight Can Protect Teeth


There are many benefits to be obtained if someone managed to lose the excess weight. One of the benefits is that it can protect teeth from periodontal disease.

One cause of adult tooth loss is a matter of periodontitis. This condition occurs because of plaque that accumulates on the tooth and increase the bacteria so the immune system is not able to control it.

World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that a quarter to half of adults have periodontitis. While obesity known to be associated with systemic inflammation. But can weight loss protect your teeth?

Besides having a healthy weight also can keep a person from a variety of risks such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer, as long as the method of doing right and not extreme.
